The Artist
My love for painted began not that long ago, and has come to be something I really enjoy. Experimenting with different paint brands and brushes is a how I spend my freetime. I remember being lost in the daily life of "womanhood" and wanting to do something totally different. So off to HobbyLobby I went, where I purchased a canvas, acrylic paint, and assorted brushes in a pack. What you see here is a result of faith. Alhamdulilah
I 'm a (learning) Muslimah, a mother of 4, a wife, a program director and now a painter. I have all boys that keep me going when I even think about slowing down. My eva supportive, eva encouraging, eva generous husband is a gift straight from Allah, without his support I wouldn't be able to do me.
You know, I decided one day that I was going to do something new, something different and challenging so I thought for a second...looked at my husband and said "I'm going to paint today" he laughed and said "ummmm aight" and that's pretty much how it all started. I went to Hobby Lobby with about $50 and my own personal store assistant. It was weird, and even as I was driving I kept saying "ok, so youre really going to do this, you really think you're about to sit down and paint...….ok". But I did just that, and what you see here is something I had no clue I could do. At first I would do tutorials on youtube.com but now my art is taking on a life of its own. I love the fact that I paint from the heart, and I hope you will too because its something that is truly a gift from Allah.
